Position Summary:
The Payer Contract Manager is responsible for the effective management of contracting activities for the Payer Contracting Department of MultiCare Health System to include fee-for-service contracts and assisting with Gain Sharing or Risk Sharing Arrangements as well as, sub-contracts for professional and/or ancillary services. The incumbent coordinates and participates in the negotiation of contracts, assesses and evaluates the relationship with the payer for opportunities to improve the relationship and ensures that contract language is consistent with established guidelines.    Functions as the lead for technical support area, serving as the primary contact for communication with payers and internal constituants.

Minimum Requirements:
Three (3) years of experience in Payer or Provider Contracting and health care contract negotiations
Experience in managing Value Based Contract requirements
EPIC Billing Experience preferred

Associate’s degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
