Job Description

As a Patient Financial Services Leader you direct patient financial services operations to support the overall financial goals of the client and organization. You provide operational and strategic leadership to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate patient financial services functions; lead and direct the billing office staff on all aspects of strategic accounts receivable management, denials, cash posting, and follow-up operations; own and implement operational policies, procedures and guidelines; and monitor progress of teams and direct efforts to ensure successful outcomes.

You also own escalation points and identify trends and deficiencies to implement corrective action opportunities; oversee implementation of recommendations for performance and process improvements; and allocate resources cross-functionally, including people, data, processes and financial investments, to achieve the optimal workflow and outcomes.

Your people management responsibilities include managing routine associate situations; directing the work efforts and results of a team of associates; developing team goals and manage them for results; and developing associates through coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting and development planning.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • At least 7 years' patient financial services or medical revenue cycle department work experience
  • At least 5 years' people management work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP)
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)


  • Ability to travel up to 40%
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City Metropolitan area
