Kilpatrick Townsend's Electronics/Software team seeks a full-time USPTO-registered patent prosecution Associate experienced in preparing and electronics and software-related applications. Applicants with 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution are preferred, with aptitude for portfolio development and client counseling a plus. Applicant must have a USPTO Reg. No. and possess a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Applicant must be detail oriented and have strong written and verbal skills. Preferred but not required technical work experience in a computer or electrical engineering field, an advanced Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree, or significant prosecution experience in computer or electrical engineering fields. Transcripts and patent prosecution writing samples will be requested. Corresponding state bar (CA, GA, WA, CO, or NC ) required for office location base.

Prefer education or patent prosecution work experience related to software technologies such as cloud, security encryption, mobile applications, databases, and networking.
