Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for safety, quality, cost and productivity of Q41 Machine drives
  • Build Migration Plan on Paper Machine, Supers, Winders and 40 Machine
  • Develop Continuous Improvement to gain on monthly OME average
  • Responsible to ensure that systems are driving results that they were originally designed to capture

Required Skills

  • Be able to readily asses problem areas
  • Be able to resolve technical performance issues
  • Enhancing control strategies on different Grades and Weights
  • Develop training for in-house personnel
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with operations and maintenance
  • Must organize critical spare parts and assure proper levels are onsite
  • Maintain capital plan to stay ahead of obsolescence
  • Available for call-in when needed
  • Expected to deal with all levels of management
  • A track record of success in leading safety, managing through systems

Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in the engineering or technology field Preferred
  • 10 years experience working as a drive engineer
  • Experience with high speed paper machines
  • GE experience with DC300, Innovation, UC Controllers, Tosvert Drives, Versa Max I/O, IS Bus, D-Lan
