What You Offer:
The ADESA outside sales representative is responsible for understanding a customer’s needs and providing that customer the right mix of ADESA products and services to meet those needs. You’ll call on new and used car dealers within the designated territory, in-person and via telephone, to develop new and existing dealer relationships. As a trusted business partner, you’ll suggest an individualized program of solutions tailored to each customer. These simple, consistent solutions enable the dealer to both find the right inventory and dispose of unwanted units to maximize revenue and profit. Success in this role is measured by the volume of vehicles sold and purchased at ADESA by the dealers in your territory. We provide the training, technology and tools to manage the relationship; you provide the personality and perseverance to meet volume goals and succeed.

Educational Requirements and Qualifications

Execute ADESA’s sales strategy within his/her auction market. Responsible for impacting and achieving overall sales goals.

Assess territory to craft a well-thought-out and varied sales plan (which includes prospecting, up-selling and account management) to ensure overall growth in the volume of vehicles purchased from and sold through ADESA sales channels from all current and target accounts.

Leverage all available ADESA dealer-facing tools and technology, products and services to create best-in-class dealer experience.

Direct unwanted and aged inventory to the appropriate ADESA sales channel and coach the dealer on the most effective ways to market that inventory.

Monitor all local competition and recommend competitive strategies to manager.

Properly use and navigate ADESA’s CRM tool to document sales plan, organize customer contact workflow, track and measure account activity against key success metrics, and log activity.

Perform sale day duties such as customer service

Educational Requirements and Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent
• Five (5) to seven (7) years of B2B Sales or sales management or equivalent auction sales experience
• Territory management experience required
• Proven sales ability with all levels of decision makers
• Success in selling internet/technology based products
• Strong relationship management expertise
• A high level of comfort with technology
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license
• Occasional overnight travelrequired
