BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing timely and accurate data/reports using mainframe/PC systems to support Utilization Management/Provider Services Division, Case/Disease Management and additional program activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*BachelorDegree with concentration in Math, Computer Science OR 4 years equivalent experience.
*4 years PC experience including 2 years utilizing database software to manipulate data, generate reports and analyze data.
*Knowledge of SQL, SAS, Teradata and/or other query applications.
*Knowledge of PC windows based applications including Excel spreadsheets and graphs.
*Verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills necessary to work in a team environment.
*Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Verify accuracy of reports and provide insight while working with both internal and external data.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*Able to work on multiple projects at one time, both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals.
*Experience with ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and other industry standard codes.
*Knowledge of medical terminology.
*Proficiency in managed care statistical analysis, trending, tracking and reporting of focused populations on a routine and ad hoc basis.
