Summary of Major Responsibilities

We know that providing employees with career development opportunities is a key driver of engagement. This position is responsible for executing key learning solutions at Exact Sciences. This leader designs, implements, facilitates, and evaluates employee development strategies, initiatives, and programs. The leader will play a role in working cross-functionally to provide relevant and accessible development opportunities for employees and leaders at Exact. This position is based in Madison, WI and will represent the organizational development function on cross-functional project teams. This position reports to the Director, Organizational Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to leaders and HR business partners by understanding business needs to align development initiatives appropriately
  • Partner with business/functional/site leadership to create and support an inclusive culture through development opportunities focused on Exact Sciences' core values and organizational capabilities
  • Assist in executing initiatives to develop and articulate consistent leadership expectations and relevant, accessible learning solutions for leaders at various levels throughout Exact Sciences
  • Develop, deliver, facilitate workshops, team building activities, e-learning, video conferencing and other learning solutions on behalf of the organizational development function with a focus on leadership development
  • Develop a mechanism to gather trainers from across the business to: share best practices, participate in train-the-trainer sessions and create consistency across all training efforts
  • Proactively and regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness of organizational development strategies and plans


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or education major or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Human Resources and/or Organizational Development/Learning & Development function, with demonstration of progressively increasing responsibility, exposure & scope
  • Minimum of 3 years developing and delivering organizational development content with demonstration of the application of effective adult learning principles and ADDIE model
  • Leadership development, coaching and/or communication credentials/certifications strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively connect with others; approachable & viewed as a responsive resource for employees and leaders
  • Demonstrated passion for organizational development and career development tools and trends
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to connect with and engage audiences of differing levels (front-line supervisors, etc.)
  • Strong project management and organization skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Master's degree in Organizational Behavior and/or Adult Learning/education preferred
