Overview


The Organizational Development Manager is responsible for managing organizational projects and initiatives that relate to employee engagement, performance management and succession planning across the business. This role will interact with multiple levels of leaders and business partners to help drive change as it relates to engagement and associate productivity as well as ensure visibility to the leadership pipeline and that talent plans are in place to support future growth.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the design, implementation and actioning of associate engagement research across the business
  • Manage the mid-year and annual performance management cycle in terms of timelines, communications, and distribution analysis
  • Partner with business leaders on identifying data trends, communication best practices, and creating action plans to drive performance
  • Conduct training with current or new leaders on engagement tools or processes that can prepare leaders for team success
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure projects are organized appropriately, tools and resources are functional, and timelines upheld
  • Develop additional reports from engagement data that can further simplify the identification of trends for business leaders
  • Facilitate round-table discussions with associates on opportunities to improve culture or practices that impact engagement
  • Develop, deploy and analyze ad-hoc associate surveys that can be deployed to gather intelligence on targeted issues in the business
  • Conduct talent review sessions across the business to ensure talent differentiation is occurring and plans exist to support growth
  • Assist the People Partner team as well as business leaders on creating development plans for key talent to prepare for growth
  • Analyze succession data to identify risks and talent gaps in the business in which plans should be established
  • Work in close collaborate with Talent Acquisition on current and future workforce demands to inform build vs. buy talent decisions
  • Maintain close working relationships with People Systems to ensure succession tools and data flows are working optimally


Key Qualifications


  • 4+ years managing engagement and succession planning processes with an organization
  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology, business or human resources; Master's Degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology preferred
  • Experience with engagement survey and succession planning systems; Inmoment and Cornerstone on Demand preferred
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to assist facilitation, influence and training outcomes
  • Strong relationship building skills that create a pull from the business to be involved in discussions and initiatives
  • Experience with research and compiling/analyzing data into usable presentations
  • Strong process-oriented approach to accomplishing tasks
