Responsible for backups, maintenance, installation, administration, and availability of all Oracle databases for the organization. Proactive monitoring and maintenance of Oracle databases and application servers supporting the business platforms. 24x7 monitoring and responses to database issues is expected with on call support rotation with alternate dba. Responsible for cloning of databases and application servers for development, test, qa, uat, and data fix environments. Responsible for tuning and optimization of Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and database processes. Responsible for capacity evaluation and future planning or database systems and licensing. Responsible for database incident management and deployment tasks assigned to the DBA support group. Responsible for design, tuning, and process management for databases for the global organization.
Required Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or with oracle implementation. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience, employer will take eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or with oracle implementation. Position also requires demonstrated experience with Linux operating system usage and shell scripting; Oracle SQL; Oracle RMAN backup and recovery; Oracle Enterprise Manager administration; Oracle EBS R12 application administration; Oracle database design, configuration, and implementation; Oracle database performance analysis; and Oracle support service request management.
