The Operations Strategy Specialist supports operational excellence and long-term business performance by driving strategic analysis, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional operational planning. This role partners Operations Leadership, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Program teams to evaluate business performance, identify optimization opportunities, and support execution of enterprise strategic initiatives.
This is a hybrid position based at our Windsor Locks, CT facility with three days expected onsite each week.
What You Will Do
- Execute special projects as assigned by Operations Leadership to improve throughput, quality, or cost performance.
- Assist in developing multi-year operations roadmaps in partnership with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Program teams.
- Conduct operational and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making, including capacity modeling, productivity assessments and cost optimization.
- Support strategic initiatives such as process standardization, factory flow improvements, and performance management enhancements.
- Track and report key operational metrics; identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to business cases for capital investments, technology adoption, and process changes.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops or data-gathering sessions to evaluate operational challenges and define actionable solutions.
- Support enterprise-level strategic planning cycles, including data consolidation, presentation development, and scenario analysis.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Prior experience with excel and data visualization tools
- Prior experience synthesizing data into clear insights and recommendations
- Experience collaborating across functional teams.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Lean principles, continuous improvement, or operational excellence frameworks.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support initiatives with moderate supervision.
- Prior experience in aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or a related regulated environment.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate97s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
