The Operations Project Manager will manage and assist with all of Construction Services Operational Functions. This includes, Project Coordination, Budgeting, Forecasting, Contracts, Change Orders and Invoicing. Plays a Key Role in Department and Capital Budget Planning, Scope Management and Execution for projects in support of Business Objectives and Strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates kickoff coordination for capital and vendor funded projects.
  • Assists with the development and management of the yearly capital budget.
  • Provides Supervision to assigned team members and/or vendors for preparation of required contract documents relative to assigned projects.
  • Manage and build weekly cost forecast analysis for the Department Reporting, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
  • Consults with Director and Project Leaders to create Budgets and Forecasts through the Project Management Software.
  • Perform ordering of building materials, fixtures, and equipment in conjunction with Project Manager, Procurement, and Store Planning/Design. Ensure delivery dates are met in accordance to the project schedule, and costs are within budget.
  • Plays a Key Role in capital budget/finance meetings as a representative of Construction Operations with other parties within the department, as assigned.
  • Identifies issues, risks, and escalate to appropriate level of project leadership.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • 5-10 years of experience in general accounting, preferably retail stores and/or construction
  • Microsoft Office & Project Management Software (Lucernex) – advanced experience in Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Experience and general knowledge of project management / oversight, construction invoicing, lien wavers, building costs, contract administration, forecasting and accounting
  • College degree in accounting or finance and/or project management desirable or 5 – 10 years' industry experience.
  • Key Relationships: Construction Project Managers, Engineers, Facility Maintenance, Store Planning/Design, Finance, Procurement, Merchandise and Store Opersations Teams, Real Estate.
