Job Summary:

  • Project Manager is responsible for execution, support and assistance in all aspects of project management. Provides leadership and guidance as it pertains to project planning, execution, status reporting, communication, financial management and issues/risk mitigation. Accountable for ensuring successful delivery of a project is completed on-budget, on-time and with client satisfaction. (Individual contributor role)
  • Responsibilities:
  • Project Delivery:
  • Serves as project manager for initiatives and will direct work on projects to provide oversight. Has profit and loss responsibility for the projects.
  • Manages projects end-to-end, to deliver business outcomes. Works with senior management to oversee business and technology scope of projects – will focus on business processes, supporting technology capabilities, recommending and implementing changes to ensure solutions are aligned to business strategies.
  • Acts as SME for engagements in the areas of project management, solution development, the relevant insurance domain, and quality assurance.
  • Works closelywith the project stakeholders and is able to think strategically about how technology applications fit within the overall business needs and priorities.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to improve the capabilities while managing adherence to procedures and standards
  • Ensures projects follow the Initiation, Execution, and Transition & Value Capture phases in accordance with Marsh’s Project Delivery Life Cycle
  • Prepares and tracks budgets, project plans, and staffing plans.
  • Ensure early detection of project issues and risks with early identification of mitigation strategies and stakeholder communication and engagement.
  • Maintains financials using standard system for project tracking
  • Builds, drives, and manages relationships with our senior internal business leaders and ensure their continued alignment, engagement, and achievement of business outcomes
  • Provides project status to executive management providing recommendations as needed.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including vendors where key delivery areas are outsourced.
  • Qualifications
  • Relevant college/university degreerequired (or equivalent experience). MBA preferred
  •  Experience:
  • Minimum of 8years of experience managing projects in the financial services industry, preferably in insurance (broking)
  • Consulting background is a must
  •  Knowledge and skills:
  • A proven track record of individually delivering and managing complex change and transformation projects and their associated benefits to agreed

  • A proven team leadership background – the ability to motivate teams in challenging environments
  • Experience challenging, where appropriate, at all levels up to the Executive, to ensure a clear view on the desired business outcome and a timely focus on relevant issues.
  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of large corporate operations and dynamics relating to a project environment
  • The ability to quickly identify at any given time the progress and risks across multiple project portfolios and understand the action that needs to be applied

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary)

1.     Relevant college/university degreerequired (or equivalent experience). MBA preferred

2.     Minimum of 8years of experience managing projects in the financial services industry, preferably in insurance (broking)

3.     Consulting background is a must

4.     Strong analytical skills and basic financial acumen

5.     Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Program

6.     The candidates must have consulting experience, handling multiple large projects/ multiple clients.

7.     Ideal candidates come from a large consulting firm.

8.     Candidates must have some experience/knowledge delivering projects within the insurance industry and preferably P&C insurance.

9.     Must have some UX experience, understand user behavior, etc.
