Job Description:


The North Texas SAS Customer Business Area is looking for a Lead Operations/Manufacturing Program Manager to support the Airborne Processors (ABP) Product Line Production F16 Program. This position is responsible for day to day execution of various F-16 production programs. Duties include management of cost, schedule and execution of assigned programs. The position requires regular interface with our internal functional counterparts (Program Management, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Engineering) plus regular interfacing with our customer and internal manufacturing sites. In addition to managing assigned programs within the ABP family, the successful candidate will be expected to assist with various proposal activities in support of future pursuits.

This manufacturing position is responsible for supporting PMO team in the development and implementation of program plans, processes, metrics and tools to ensure successful program execution. He or She will be responsible for coordination of program control activities across multiple functions and sites to maximize consistency and implementation of best practices.

Job responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary interface across all required Operations value streams (including interface with Production Control and Factory personnel)
  • Execute Operations IPDS tasks from Gate 3 through Gate 11 (with focus on Gates 4, 5, 10 & 11)
  1. Engage with Program leadership and external customer to develop and maintain product delivery schedules
  • Manage and Coordinate manufacturing resources (IOT/Performer management, material management, STE Capacity, etc.) to support program requirements
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all customer requirements
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities for Operations Labor & Manufacturing scope
  • Support EVMS for assigned programs (APEX and PRISM EV baselines, EVMS performance, IMS maintenance, perform monthly internal cost/VAR reviews and quarterly EAC support)
  • Ensure operational risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout program execution
  • Lead cross-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on six sigma, lean practices and other analytical improvement methods and tools
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with program management, cross-functional program leadership, suppliers, customers and government representatives
  • Support internal and external customer reviews
  • Support Requests for Proposal by generating and coordinating the inputs for the proposal's Operations content
  • Frequent Local Travel within North Texas sites (McKinney, North Building, Plano Parkway)



Required skills:

  • 8 years' experience in manufacturing, operations, production control or related experience
  • Manufacturing experience and Familiarity with a Factory work environment
  • Experience in supervising and driving day-to-day activities of a cross-functional team to meet production and financial goals
  • Experience developing and managing master phasing schedules/MRP planning
  • Strong knowledge of SAP software suite & reporting tools - PRISM, APEX, Business Warehouse, and Kinaxis
  • EVMS training and/or Certification
  • Control Account Management (CAM) experience with PRISM EV experience
  • Customer Interface Experience, ability to work with customer to resolve schedule and technical issues
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, team building, change management and team leadership experience
  • Strong analytical skills: the ability to use sound judgment to comprehend multiple variables to solve problems, improve processes and to accurately forecast future activities
  • Proven capability to analyze data, and develop metrics and data visualization and to convey message to team and program leadership
  • Ability to function well in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in both depot repair management and sustainment processes, in addition to production experience
  • Proposal experience (Familiar with proposal process, directing a proposal team, Basis of Estimate generation)
  • Demonstrated success working across multiple disciplines to drive performance
  • Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing and test
  • Experience with high volume, production manufacturing (+200 units/month)
  • PM Certification (minimum Level 6)



Required education:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Operations Management, Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline
