What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Ensure that principles and standards related to HSSE and quality are effectively deployed throughout the operation, and that clear metrics and objectives are established, communicated and engrained
  • Make sure that all third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses and related contractors are compliant with the customer's policies and procedures
  • Lead operational performance management and control through the collection, review and analysis of appropriate leading and lagging key performance indicators
  • Drive cost and continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse network, including service, cost, quality and compliance
  • Champion and ensure the delivery of superior customer service in line with supply chain and business goals and objectives through the management of all aspects of 3PL relationships
  • Oversee and run the daily operations of third-party warehouses, including inventory control, in-full/on-time deliveries, EDI failure assessment and problem-solving, quality assurance, damaged product disposition, returns, invoice validation, etc.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the company quality policy

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related discipline
  • 7 years of supply chain operational experience; project management experience
  • Solid expertise in logistics and warehousing operations; significant experience in 3PL relationship management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety management
  • Strong leadership skills, specifically showing a wide range of interpersonal skills applicable in different situations with staff, internal peers and external contacts
  • Six Sigma knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and database systems
