Looking for a great opportunity to contribute to The Jackson Laboratory in our Bar Harbor, ME location managing the day-to-day operations of Materials Processing?
This role ensures efficient operations of materials and is responsible for analyzing process flows for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput. We’re seeking individuals that have an analytical mindset with strong technical and engineering knowledge, normally attained through a combination of higher education and biotech industry experience. Leadership/mentoring of staff and the development, recruitment of a great team is key to success!

The Jackson Laboratory, is a nonprofit biomedical research institute with over 2,300 employees whose mission is to discover precise genomic solutions for human disease and empower the global biomedical community in the shared quest to improve human health. The Charles E. Hewett Center in Ellsworth, Maine is a new state-of-the-art facility that will allow researchers around the world to have increased access to the mouse models they need from JAX.
The new facility represents the culmination of nine decades of unmatched experience and leadership in breeding and caring for laboratory mice. The center will benefit JAX employees and mice, the State of Maine, and ultimately, the global biomedical research community as it enables wider access to vital JAX mouse resources. The campus is located in Ellsworth, Maine which is one of Maine’s fastest growing cities. With a growth rate of nearly 20%, Ellsworth is a bustling year-round community and acts as a hub for surrounding towns as well. It is located nearby Acadia National Park and hosts numerous special events, concerts and festivals every year. Residents have access to fabulous shopping, recreation, museums, galleries, and dining at a variety of independent restaurants. JAX also has facilities in Bar Harbor, Maine, Sacramento, California, and The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut.
