Manage operations and processesassociated with insurance underwriting and claims operations involving Disability, Accidental Death, Bodily Injury and similar risk coverage products, including implementing strategic initiatives, setting and monitoring performance standards, and ensuring a customer service and expense management focus for all related activities.

 

Activities:

 

*** Direct implementation of long and short term business strategies and development of tactical business planning and monitoring activities to supportunderwriting business goals.

 

*** Support implementation and effective utilization of operational and policy service strategies, policies, workflow processes, and standards.

 

*** Manage account support activities initial submission through policy issuance to meet production goals by ensuring compliance and performance standards are achieved, informing management of progress and problems, and utilizing all available resources in a cost effective manner.

 

*** Manage implementation of new technologies and utilization of existing systems.

 

*** Collaborate to resolve issues and make workflow decisions to ensure contractual commitments are met.

 

*** Resolve operation matters resulting in bottleneck situations to prevent negative business impacts.

 

*** Reconcile financial and operational results, and take corrective action as necessary.

 

*** Establish and maintain relationships with Underwriting Management, Underwriters, Agents, and Brokers, including meeting to assess operations performance and identify problems.

 

*** Develop and maintain relationships with internal resources such as Claims, Operations, etc. to coordinate delivery of related services to clients.

 

*** Collaborate with underwriting and internal support staff to assess quality and performance standards and identify training needs.

 

*** Perform all necessary staff management functions to support profit, growth and expense management goals.
