Job Details:

Responsible for planning, controlling and directing an operational function and its staff. This position relies on Operations Supervisor or Operations Officer to oversee the day to day activities of the department, so its focus can be on the long-term, more strategic activities of the department and its function. Responsible for all projects assigned to operational department, and serves as subject matter expert and liaison on cross-functional task forces and project teams. Manages a smaller, less complex, and/or less risk intensive department within the bank operations group. Accomplishes results through lower-level subordinate supervisors or officers who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. Functions as an advisor to the department regarding tasks, projects, and operations. Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet deadlines or to resolve complex problems. Ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, Train and lead a highly effective Client Services Team to ensure an exceptional client experience is provided to both internal and external clients
  • Work with various banking areas to maximize the delivery of consistent service to enhance overall client experience
  • Manage the escalation of issues
  • Provide reporting data on team performance
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis to evaluate service satisfaction.
  • Responsible and accountable for appropriate quality controls related to the financial products we provide, the services we deliver, the processes we employ, and the incentives with which we reward our colleagues.
  • Ensure that all City National products, financial solutions and services are provided ethically and with integrity in a manner that is consistent with the client-first culture and values embodied in City National's PRIDE statement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • *Minimum 4 years banking operations experience in a financial institution required.
  • *Minimum 4 years cash management experience required.
  • *Minimum 2 years experience in managing projects and/or teams required.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Management experience within financial services operations.
  • Critical and strategic thinker.
  • Seasoned problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create influential documents, presentations and group or team facilitation.
  • Working knowledge of financial and budget process.
