You should have Fabrication, Machining & assembly experience (no food industry or chemical industries)

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for leading the employees to include coaching, mentoring and developing them. Identifying areas for improvement. Establishing production and shipping goals while ensuring that the overall quality of the product is maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.
? Ensure that the plant meets or exceeds all environmental and safety standards in accordance with all government standards.
? Establish and modify plant operations, policies and goals
? Promote continuous improvement opportunities and delegate responsibility for action.
? Manufacture all assigned products in conformance with established engineering and quality standards.
? Provide leadership in the facility that will actively engage employees in the achievement of all plant and company KPIs.
? Continuously evaluate production equipment and processes to ensure competitiveness in the field. Coordinate with design and manufacturing engineering groups to implement and evaluate new or revised processes.
? Monitor levels of production, shipments, labor performance, scrap and rejects, and housekeeping. Take action to correct unfavorable deviations improve favorable trends.
? Insure plant and equipment is maintained to achieve production requirements and provide a safe and clean work environment.
? Lead the development of a high performing workplace culture, especially in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, communications and employee relations
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
? Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field from an accredited college/university.
? Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing management experience at the plant level .
? Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
? Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
? Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
? Experience with lean manufacturing tools (i.e. Build to Order Processes, Kan-Ban Implementation, Inventory Reduction, TPS).
