JOB TITLE: OPERATIONS MANAGER
Manufacturer Charlotte NC area is searching for a top Operations Manager.
SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Operations Manager is responsible for production and facility related activities within the plant, including primary parts production, final assemblyproduction, manufacturing engineering, equipment maintenance and facilities maintenance. The Operations Manager plans, schedules, strategizes, and oversees all production activities while continually building sales and maintaining profitability. The role performs essential functions to ensure overall customer satisfaction and quality service, and establishes and maintains effective communication with employees and customers. The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient planning and scheduling of personnel and equipment to reduce bottlenecks and problems in the plant.
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Business, Engineering or other related field
? 7+ years?experience leading in manufacturing operations
? Experiencewith high volume component manufacturing
? Ability to apply and coach Lean Manufacturing methods and tools
? Ability to apply and coach Practical/Foundational Problem Solving methods and Tools
? Advanced problem solving capability (Six Sigma Certification preferred)
? Experiencewith attaining TS16949 / ISO14001 / ISO9001 registration/certification
? Functional usage of ERP system (IFS experiencepreferred)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE OPERATIONS/PRODUCTION MANAGER
? Plan and scheduleproduction to meet quoted lead times and customer requests
? Manage resource requirements to meet budget and customer demand
? Provide cross-functional team leadership in achieving KPI?s related to Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery and Cost
? Promote a Safety First culture by ensuring safe implementation and execution of all manufacturing processes and systems
? Manage operating budget to maximize investments, increase efficiency and realize on-going cost reductions
? Develop and Execute strategic plan for Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives
? Prioritize and support problem resolution activities related to production scheduling, staffing, equipment downtime, process efficiency, etc.
? Mentor/Coach department leads to promote and engage in Lean behavior
? Ensure alignment of Site initiatives with Global Organizational directives
? Encourage professional development of operations staff and team members
