The Operations Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance for all production and process equipment at the Covington Facility.  This includes day-to-day maintenance and operational support, shutdown scheduling and vendor management.  This position will implement reliability centered maintenance and TPM for all process systems, including OEE and other reliability metrics.  The Manager is responsible for oversight of operational, maintenance and troubleshootingsupport for process area improvements through strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP’s in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facility. 

The Operations Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the day to day activities of Maintenance Team Supervisors. 

The Operations Maintenance Manager will also be on-call at all times to respond to plant-wide emergencies and manufacturing needs.

Ensure completion of daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) work. Maintain Operations Maintenance performance metrics for site-wide publication. Maintain daily communication with production and planning counterparts to ensure needs are met. Efficiently coordinate the workflow and documentation of PMs and WOs.  Must be familiar with plant and divisional SOPs as related to positional and department responsibilities. Review procedures and update them as necessary. Ensure a safe work environment is maintained through adherence to safety guidelines and policies. Must follow safety rules and ensure compliance with GA state and federal EPA regulation and laws. Specific responsible system repairs, upkeep, maintenance and operations managed within regulating agencies such as OSHA. Continuously stay current with assigned SOPs and keep an up to date training file ensuring compliance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure all mandatory training requirements are met, including annual EHS training, GMP refresher training and any applicable training requirements. Maintain an on-going two-way performance dialogue with Sr. Manager and meet timelines for completing all mid and year-end reviews and development plans for self and direct reports. Demonstrate continuous progress with respect to increasing job knowledge and proficiency in technical understanding/problem solving. Maintain a positive, professional and customer oriented attitude. Communicate any concerns related to safe work practices, hostile work environment, sexual harassment or any other type of employee misconduct directly to the supervisor, manager or human resources.

May perform other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience:

Excellent technical troubleshooting/problem solving skills are a must. Must be knowledgeable with respect to the operation and maintenance of various process systems including Tanks/Vessels, Agitators, Filtration systems, Centrifuges, Chromatography, CIP, Filling, Packaging, Environmental Storage Chambers..

•Possess very strong verbal and written communication skills, documentation practices (cGDPs), be self-motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills. Have a thorough knowledge of utility equipment, using blue prints, equipment manuals, specifications, standard operating procedures, and be able to use proper judgment when taking corrective actions during equipment malfunction. Possess strong mechanical knowledge and skills on utility equipment. Have working knowledge of hazardous chemicals and their disposal, OSHA and FDA requirements.  Demonstrate continuous progress with respect to increasing job knowledge and proficiency in technical understanding/problem solving.

Education and/or Experience

B.S. degree in Engineering with 5+ years of applicable experience is required.
