What you will do Johnson Controls has an excellent opportunity for an OpenBlue Project Executive (remote). This role is responsible for leading many large projects across Canada and ensuring that all customer standards remain consistent and that the special characteristics of each project are preserved.

How you will do it Get ready to work and support powerful OpenBlue technology. OpenBlue is a complete suite of connected solutions that delivers impactful sustainability, new balanced occupant experiences, and encouraging safety and security that combines our 135 years of building expertise with innovative technology. The areas of OpenBlue you will be supporting include, but are not limited to, are OpenBlue application, OBB (Open Blue Bridge) installation and network commissioning, Data ingestion, Application configuration, Quality assurance and initial customer / branch training.
You are the face of all customer communication, addressing customer concerns and relaying project updates. With our customers, it doesn't stop at implementation. You will also assist with management of post-implementation customer support and generating post-event documentation for the entry into a centralized solutions database. You'll continuously partner with OpenBlue product management leads to deliver training and product literature feedback and request concern where required.
You will be leading OpenBlue initiatives with project deployment teams and system integrator pods to drive timely execution of tasks and ensure project delivery is complete, as well as local market training. This means you may have to handle partner concerns that fall outside of the normal issue management process and timeline. Not only is customer engagement meaningful, but also managing the relationship between the OpenBlue deployment teams and customers with JCI Sales, Product, and L&D (Learning and Development) teams and raising when needed OpenBlue to support / resolve customer relationship and contract setbacks, product issues, supply training materials and courseware needs.
Do you enjoy leading and training? Mentoring project leads in how JCI performs, and delegates tasks required to meet project deadlines is a part of daily tasks. This includes, but is not limited to hardware deployment, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, problem partner concern and project closeout. You will also assist other OpenBlue project managers in supervising and determining optimum resource levels needed to meet project schedules. You'll have their hand on the pulse of every assigned project, meeting with the project leads regularly to ensure that all scope changes are quickly and document change orders are approved prior to performance of work.
What we look forRequired- Canadian Citizenship and/or Permanent Residency
- Bachelor's degree or military equivalent in a technical field
- 6+ years project management experience
- Experience with major / large project management. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor to both internal and external audiences.
- Willingness to Acquire Canadian Government Security Clearance
Preferred- Bilingual (English / Canadian French)
- Current Canadian Government Security Clearance
