ACADEMIC PALLIATIVE CARE POSITION; MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN- MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: EMPLOYED OPPORTUNITY
The Division of Geriatric Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin seeks candidates for a full time Palliative Care faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate for this position will help guide multidisciplinary teams in providing care to patients and families facing serious illness, and assist in end of life care for patients receiving acute inpatient or home hospice through our program. Candidates should also have an interest in advancing Palliative Care Education and quality improvement programs within our rapidly growing program.
Successful candidates for this position will have the opportunity to be actively involved in the teaching of students and house staff. Candidates also have an opportunity for participation in Division research programs, including clinical trials and formal educational programs.
• Board certification or board eligibility in palliative care required
• Eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin
The Division of Hematology and Oncology has 70 faculty members, 15 fellows and more than 70 advanced practice providers. It also has a dedicated inpatient and ambulatory care facility, a highly integrated Palliative Care program and close clinical and research interactions with Surgical and Radiation Oncology, the Blood Center of Wisconsin and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Registry (CIBMTR). This Division is an active member of ECOG.
