Bayer has a strong presence in the prostate cancer community with Xofigo®, which is available in the U.S. for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. Bayer Oncology has deep relationships with both Urology and Oncology specialties who treat advanced PC, including associations, GPO and HCPs. We are excited about the expansion of our Prostate Franchise with Darolutamide for non-metastatic prostate cancer.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Oncology Specialty Sales Consultant - Prostate Franchise, are to:

  • Implement and direct a field sales plan within the assigned sales region so as to achieve stated sales goals,
  • Train, supervise, motivate and develop sales personnel to attain or exceed their sales territory sales goals,
  • Conduct well planned sales meetings designed to convey product knowledge, selling skills and foster teamwork,
  • Implement management development programs to provide succession planning candidates for future leadership positions,
  • Evaluate sales results, taking action or making recommendations to correct behavior or performance,
  • Work with human resources in establishing and maintaining an active recruiting program designed to fill vacancies quickly with qualified personnel,
  • Appropriately allocate total regional sales budget and control expenses within assigned budget to meet or exceed business objectives,
  • Routinely make field contacts with regional representatives to ascertain skills, provide oral and written feedback on effectiveness and potential,
  • Ensure adherence to company compliance, policy and guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • At least eight years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years Oncology Sales Management or current Oncology sales experience coupled with enrollment and/or completion of Bayer Leadership and Development Training with manager approval.
  • Experience in the field of Oncology in solid tumors
  • Previous experience in launching new products or indications
  • Previous Marketing, Sales Training, Sales Operations and Managed Careexperience is desirable.
  • Successful track record in field sales defined as consecutive years of increased sales or marketshare.
  • Incumbent should be aware of market conditions, competitive intelligence and market trends.
