On-going Assessment Information Assurance Engineer

Key Role:

Participate on a team in support of information assurance (IA) activities, including the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) or Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. Use compliancy and policy expertise to develop new on-going assessment service offerings for federal agencies. Analyze all phases of the system development life cycle to identify and manage the security implications of system engineering activities and provide corresponding recommendations to decision-makers. Perform security engineering activities, including collaborating with system engineers to identify security controls, design automation techniques, and help develop new service capabilities to address growing agency security compliance automation demands. 

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with supporting Cybersecurity policy delivery

-Experience with manual and automated vulnerability assessments

-Experience with the design and operation of security controls for security sensor tools, providing hardware asset management, software asset management, configuration management, and vulnerability management

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree

-Security+, CASP, CAP, or CISSP Certification
