The Job:

The SharePoint Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, training and support of SharePoint, Office 365 (Yammer, Teams, Stream, etc.) and other collaborative information services for PAE, including Newforma. Successful candidates will have experience establishing taxonomy, structure, and integration between O365/SharePoint and other business information platforms. Role also includes integration development responsibilities using technologies such as .NET, C#, SQL, Powershell, JavaScript, XML, HTML5, and REST API.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with IS Leadership and organizational partners to assess, define, and develop collaboration & information management processes that leverage Office 365, SharePoint, and othertechnology platforms at PAE
  • Participate in the development and enforcement of information management policy and procedure, including data classification, taxonomy, retention, integration, and security
  • Provide direction, administration and support for PAE’s collaborative information services platforms, including Office 365 services like SharePoint and Yammer, as well as other platforms like Newforma
  • Utilize technologies such as .NET, C#, REST API, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS to integrate and automate between Office 365, SharePoint, and other platforms
  • Utilize the SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Visual Studio in the development of advanced SharePoint workflows, forms, sites, and views
  • Utilize services such as PowerApps, Flow, and Power BI to help collect, transform, and visualize business data
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve SharePoint problems and escalate incidents as necessary
  • Develop, document and train others on best practices SharePoint administration and appropriate use
  • Research, design, test, and implement technology solutions that support the afore-mentioned architecture and strategic plan
  • Assist in the operation and maintain of PAE’s cloud and on-premise technology systems as needed
  • Participate in audits and rehearsals associated with Information Security, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery
  • Participate in the execution of IS Service Management (ITSM) controls (e.g., incident, problem and change management), including after-hours operations and maintenance
  • Participate in the development of operational IS documentation (e.g., infrastructure diagrams, standards, policies, procedures, training)

Key Competencies & Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge andexperiencewith the following:
    • Definition, maintenance, and enforcement of data classification and information management taxonomies and standards
    • Microsoft platforms (IIS, .NET, Web Services, SQL Server, Windows Server)
    • Office 365 governance and administration including SharePoint, Yammer, Teams, Skype for Business, Power BI, etc.
    • SharePoint site collection administration including sites, templates, workflows, and content management
    • Repair permissions and broken inheritance from site collection to item level
    • Public cloud and XaaS platforms such as Azure and AWS
    • SharePointtechnologies such as Business Connectivity Services, Master Pages, Apps, Page Layouts, User Store, Web Parts, Windows Workflow Foundation, SharePoint Ribbon, SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint Designer, and InfoPath
    • Development and integration using technologies including, HTML5, .NET, C#, RESTful API, jQuery, CSS, InfoPath, Visual Studio, and Powershell
    • Develop and troubleshoot complex SharePoint Designer workflows, InfoPath forms, and custom forms
    • ITIL-centric ITSM controls, platforms and best practices.
    • Migration of traditional file shares to OneDrive and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with network standards, including the OSI model, TCP/IP protocol suite, DNS, etc.
  • Familiarity with Information Securitytechnologies, standards (e.g., ISO 27001), and best practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to train users in groups or one-on-one
  • Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into technical requirements and solutions
  • Ability to work with technology partners and vendors to manage delivery of desired outcomes


  • 3+ years of experience with administration in an Office 365 environment
  • 5+ years SharePointexperience as a SharePoint Administrator or SharePointDeveloper
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Preferred - MCSA: Office 365, MCSE: SharePoint
