The OBIA/OBIEE developer will also be responsible for providing timely production and end-user support for Oracle Business Intelligence both during and after business hours. This includes assisting in the monitoring of production applications and databases with the overall goal of resolving performance issues along with identifying potential future problems before they become critical. This position will also be responsible for creating technical programming specifications from business documents, creating internal program documentation, and participating in code reviews as both a reviewer and as one being reviewed. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to cross-train other members of the team so that all are able to support our business intelligence partners. This will include creating comprehensive documents that all members of the team may understand and execute.

This position will also be required to provide time/effort estimates, contribute to project planning, provide task and project status to end users, peers and management. The OBIA/OBIEE developer will be asked to communicate issues and issue resolution to management and business partners in a clear, concise manner while managing multiple priorities.

Education Requirements:

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or related field

Job Requirements:

  • Background in Oracle 11g or 12C database, Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems

  • Possess 5-7 years of business intelligence and data warehouse experience.

  • Understanding of best practiced related to business intelligence and data warehousing.

  • 3 years of experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE 11g) supporting development, configuration, administration and performance improvement.

  • 2 years of experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA). Specific experience with Financial, Project, Human Resources and Supply Chain Analytics desired.

  • Experience with Oracle Data Integrator ETL tool within the context of OBIA.

  • Experience with Oracle as a source for OBIA.

  • Knowledge and experience with SDLC.

  • Experience with high volume, complex relational databases.

  • Strong understanding of database concepts including views, tables and indexing

  • Possess complete understanding of the OBIEE environment, from dimensional modeling to front-end report/dashboard design.

  • Possess a strong understanding of the OBIA architecture including physical data models, ETL, logical business models and subject areas.

  • Experience in troubleshooting application availability issue; monitoring system performance and error logs, and in proposing solutions to potential risks.

  • Possess strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organization skills and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to provide mentoring and training services for both teammates and business partners.

  • Experience with development utilities such as SQL query tools and processes to support, test and verify tasks.

  • Ability to partner with various teams to develop both ad-hoc and permanent solutions.

  • Ability to respond to a variety of questions regarding various data warehouse subject areas tool usage.

  • Ability to document and facilitate resolution of data related project issues.
