Unit Summary:
The Intensive Care Service Line at our Siena Campus is comprised of two units dedicated to serving the adult population. Named after our founding congregations, the Surgical Intensive Care “Dominican” Tower consists of 24 beds and the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care “Adrian” Tower with 26; both accepting medical, surgical patients with an emphasis on CV/Thoracic patients in Dominican ICU. We are Level III trauma with specialties including CV/thoracic surgeries, neurosurgery, stroke, and advanced procedures. Both units average monthly census is approximately 650 unit of service. With access to some of the most current patient care technology, both units offer RNs the opportunity to work with “state of the art” technology and in an environment of patient commitment and compassion. Job Summary:
Manages the resources and daily activities of a nursing department while ensuring environmental factors support high standards of patient care. Assists in the training and development of new and existing staff members. Creates and maintains an environment that is conducive to learning transfer. Coordinates the activities of the unit for each shift and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Provides patient care as needed.

Minimum - Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2) years of leadership experience.

Minimum - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other-related field (e.g., BSN/BBA/BHA).
