 Job Requirements     

Education: Masters Degree in Nursing or Education required upon hire.

Experience: At least ten years of clinical experience in an acute care setting. Previous teaching experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Experience in the PBDS Model preferred. Training: Current AHA BLS card.

License: Current Florida RN license Other: Certification in Clinical Nursing Specialty or Professional Development preferred.

Computer skills necessary: MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Job Description     

The Nurse Resident Development Specialist supports the clinical, social, and professional development of nursing interns for the first two years of their employment. Supports the goals of the transitional orientation and PBDS Assessment program by providing a structured approach to monitoring and guiding nursing interns to meet their individualized education and development plan.


Responsible for tracking and documenting the outcome measures of interns on all campuses, in conjunction with Clinical Education Specialist for PBDS Program. Collaborates with HR Business Partners, HR Recruiters, Nursing Leadership, and others, to promote recruitment and retention of newly licensed nurses. Responsible for the development of curriculum and facilitating the internship learning classroom modules to promote the formal and informal education of interns during the development period.
