JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, provides recruitment and referral services to fill professional health care vacancies within Inpatient Nursing.
Develops and implements specialized, multidisciplinary recruiting, advertising and marketing strategies for sourcing and referring qualified applicants for all vacancies.
Reviews and analyzes requests for recruitment assistance; identifies needs of the facility regarding the vacancy and requirements of the position. Identifies and utilizes advertising sources. Searches resume/applicant databases and other sources in pursuit of qualified applicants.
Proactively searches for and contacts potential employees in response to or in anticipation of vacancies. May search databases, make networking “cold calls”, or use other professional means to identify, contact and recruit suitable candidates.
Contacts and screens applicants; provides vacancy and organizational information to applicants. Documents applicants in recruitment database system; refers qualified applicants to hiring managers. Guides potential applicants through the recruitment and referral process.
May provide consulting services to regional facilities regarding advertising and marketing strategies and recruitment and selection policies. Identifies, researches, and resolves recruitment and selection issues. May also functions as liaison among various agencies and programs, including loan repayment, Indian Health Services, and Commissioned Corps.
Markets and promotes ANTHC and its regional sites at job fairs and national conferences. Networks, collaborates and promotes organization with other institutions, universities, and professional organizations.
Reviews and tracks vacancies. Identifies and tracks recruitment strategies, successes, initiatives and trends. Generates monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for statistical purposes.
May travel to remotelocations.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Equivalent knowledge, experience, education, or training may be substituted for education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non-supervisory - At least 5 years of experience in Nursing. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Current registered nurse license in the State of Alaska.
According to the need of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain additional certification.
