Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years experience in related field to include at least two (2) years of supervisory experience required. Master's degree and three (3) to five (5) years transplant program management experience preferred.
Current Texas RN (or BNE Compact State) license. A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Job Duties

1. Demonstrate continuous performance improvement in targeted areas of responsibility in alignment with the overall annual Hospital performance improvement targets.
2. Meets or exceeds financial goals and objectives of the department.
3. Develops, implements and administers polices/procedures for assigned areas to achieve short and long term goals and objectives. Reviews and revises protocols, guidelines and standards as changes occur. Ensures compliance with patient safety programs, quality assurance, CMS, ESRD network and TJC requirements.
4. Manages and supervises staff to achieve institutionally determined standards to include: effective communication with staff, physicians and patients, providing feedback, goal setting, responding to patient and staff needs and mentoring and coaching staff to achieve performance improvement. Monitors work flow and implements changes as necessary to maintain/enhance efficiency. Maintains high level of customer service to all internal and external customers by communicating performance standards and expectations to clinic staff, coaches, mentors and develops staff, orients and trains staff on specific clinic work processes and monitors/develops action plans when appropriate in response to patient satisfaction survey results. Organizes and directs operational processes including: access to care, telephone service/response times, clinic dwell times, practice and procedure changes, insurance verification, timely submission and completeness of charges, billing compliance, cancellations/bumped appointments, referral tracking and follow up, registration, quality control of correspondence, scheduling and staffing to ensure excellent patient care and service and HIPAA compliance.
