Providence has a great opportunity for a seasoned Nurse leader to oversee our Inpatient Rehab unit. This is an 18-bed unit that works closely with a team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Physicians, and other ancillary and support disciplines. Patients admitted to the unit commonly include, but are not limited to spinal cord injuries or patients that have suffered a stroke. A requirement for admission is that patients are able to endure at least 3 hours of therapy per day. The average length of stay is approximately 2 weeks with the ultimate goal of outpatient therapy and return to prior level of functioning.
The Nurse Manager will oversee a team of 5 CNA2's and 20+ RN's and be accountable for the 24/7 operations of the unit. This Nurse Leader will embrace a spirit of continual improvement and possesses a relentless drive towards excellence. They will be accountable for the quality of care delivered and clinical outcomes of the service. Under the Nurse Manager's leadership, an environment of healing and wellness will be optimized and core values of the organization realized for both patients and caregivers. The Nurse Manager will effectively lead care delivery through strong caregiver engagement, wise use of resources, and compassionately hold others accountable for their behaviors and actions. They will assemble and develop effective teams of caregivers and lead them in a complex and changing environment. The Nurse Manager will establish and sustain collaborative inter-professional relationships in alignment with Providence Health & Services (PH&S) strategic plans.
The Nurse Manager will be accountable for unit adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, contracts, procedures, and standards of performance. They will develop and mentor their direct reports and plan for succession. The Nurse Manager will stay informed of the highest level of evidence available when developing standards and modifying care delivery systems. They will actively support PH&S system, region, and local strategic priorities and programs. This Nurse Leader will serve as a role model and perform all duties in a manner that reflects the Sisters of Providence Mission and Philosophy.
