Seeking a skilled, motivated Nurse Leader to join our family of caring professionals in a beautiful location and vibrant community nested into the foothills of the Adirondack mountains in upstate New York. We're a small, successful, exceptionally well run not-for-profit hospital delivering just over 500 babies per year. We're part of a larger, highly regarded regional health system. The community is a regional cultural and academic hub, with a population of around 15,000. That population increases by roughly 8000 when the two local universities are in session.
Under the general guidance of the Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Obstetrics has strategic, fiscal, operational and educational responsibility and accountability for the standards of care and service within the Birthing Place (Labor and Delivery Unit). This position provides guidance to achieve defined goals, objectives and outcomes in service, quality, finance, engagement and growth. She/he works collaboratively with the Department of Obstetrics and the Department of Pediatrics to continually evaluate and improve care of patients, as well as with other disciplines and groups to provide the highest quality of care. Responsibilities include all aspects of clinical operations, clinician and patient/family education, customer service, patient safety, financial outcomes, quality outcome management and regulatory compliance.
BSN, as well as 3-5 years in progressive successful leadership experience in an Obstetric/Mother-Baby setting. Must have strong knowledge and experience in a Labor and Delivery setting where decision making, ability to work under dynamic and changing conditions and delegation responsibilities are at the forefront. Must have strong skillset as required for Labor and Delivery. Birthing Center/LDRP Operations
Starting Salary: $102,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
