  • Design and develop features pertaining to various functional areas for future releases of the Nuage VSP. The candidate will be responsible for full life cycle development of features associated with network orchestration for the next generation of SDN based DataCenters.
  • Design and develop networking features on the Linux operating system, both in user space and kernel space, pertaining to data center and cloud, that interact with SROS.
  • Write functional specifications for the features developed.
  • Maintain features through Test and deployment. Coordinate with Product Line Management to understand nature and scope of features, so the design can meet customer requirements.

 Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

·       BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 6-10 years of experience or MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 4-8 years of experience

·       Strong experience in software design and development on Linux, BSD or VxWorks

·       Strong understanding of Computer Networking concepts

·       Strong programming experience in C, C++, Python

·       Background in Layer 2 or Layer 3 VPN technologies (VPLS, IP-VPN, mVPN) 

·       Experience with Virtualized Switching  Products such as OpenVswitch or Nexus 1000v and Server Virtualization expertise with KVM, Xen or Vmware ESXi is a huge plus

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required·

·       Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment

·       Strong attention to detail, and ability to work well in a close-knit team
