Position Summary:

As a growing off price retailer, Burlington continues to increase the number of stores it opens each year. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this newly created position will be instrumental in assisting in the development of and executing the marketing and advertising plans to support each new and remodeled store to drive store traffic and awareness. This position will play a key role in spearheading communications to cross-functional internal teams and external partners, as well as managing creative deliverables for new and remodeled store locations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Research and identify local advertising opportunities to include, but not limited to, out of home units –billboards, bus shelters, train, etc., grassroots events and street teams for each new store. Investigate and outreach to local community event organizers, concerts and major nearby attractions to explore and negotiate possible local partnerships for each new store opening, as to increase brand awareness to drive store traffic

  2. Responsible for creating and maintaining all vital new store and remodel tracking grids and documents. When changes are made, revise schedules and immediately communicate to all impacted business units and external agencies as well as community/cause partners

  3. Responsible for organizing and submitting all advertising and marketing creative requests with accurate information, inclusive of deadlines, creative specifications and required file formats for each new store. Assets could include but not limited to, flyers, out of home units, digital assets, social content, print, etc. Additionally, support Marketing Manager with review of new store marketing/advertising/public relations materials, such as:

  4. Press releases and media alerts

  5. Radio scripts and tv slates

  6. Ribbon cutting ceremony documents, i.e. Run of show and talking points

  7. Flyers, advertising units (out of home, digital, print), social media, emails, radio, television commercials and direct mail

  8. Community and cause marketing documents

  9. Develop and continually update, through finality, each new store’s custom marketing/advertising presentation for field and corporate leadership, while maintaining budget tracking for each store

  10. Regularly communicate with media and event agencies, community partners, and field leadership to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of new store advertising and activations

  11. Coordinate and execute local marketing activations with stores and partners, as well as update mall/strip marketing assets with Burlington initiatives each quarter

Candidates must have a B.S. Degree. Candidates should also have at least 2 years marketing and advertising experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership/management-level role. Experience with Excel & PowerPoint highly desired.
