If so then this may be an opportunity for you. The VMware Security Response Center (vSRC) seeks the brightest and the best Security Program Managers to join the team. Our mission is to make the cloud safe for our customers and partners.

VMware Security Response Program Managers are responsible for triage, investigation, management and communication of security vulnerabilities reported to VMware by external researchers. You will maintain the highest quality of work while driving programs to completion, prioritizing incoming requests, contending priorities and managing communications. You will work closely with a variety of teams across VMware to achieve our goal of protecting our customers. The role will focus on the growth and management of product and cloud services from a security perspective and will require involvement in the authoring of vSRC communications including security advisories, blogs and knowledge base articles.

Our Security Response Program Managers are experienced and highly motivated. We are seeking an equally motivated individual to be a member of this team. You will be expected to:

• Lead and execute on day to day activities of the team
• Capacity to work independently
• Ability to work with product teams to remediate vulnerabilities within a limited timeframe
• Possess strong social, oral and interpersonal skills
• Ability to anticipate challenges and craft action plans
• Ability to drive programs and processes to support Security Response for both on-premise and SaaS products and services.
• Translate business objectives into execution strategy

Required Skills:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or similar field strongly preferred
• Strong passion for security
• Ability to build functional processes for running communication campaigns
• You can prioritize when faced with multiple tasks
• Self-motivated, independent, and works well within and across functional teams

Highly Preferred Skills or attributes

• Ability to investigate security vulnerabilities and exploits and assess CVSS score for vulnerabilities
• Ability to building content for security professionals
• Understanding of Secure Software Development activities
• Ability to advance processes and systems to guide the success of VMware Security Response Center
• Strong communication skills
• The passion to make VMware customers more secure
• Reputation as a security professional based academic experience
• Understanding of common security vulnerabilities in software (like OWASP Top-10, SANS Top-25)
• Ability to learn new technologies from a solution architecture standpoint
• Knowledge of the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) preferred
