  • As a Network Security Engineer you will be quickly immersed in some of the latest technologies our NGFW vendors have to offer:

      • Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct complex issues in the security space
      • Manage overall global infrastructure for our diverse client base
      • Actively participate in Level 3 support including exceptional customer service skills, and ticketing system updates.
      • Participate in rotating 24X7 on-callschedule and work during non-business hours as required.
      • Document new solutions and supportprocesses. Apply knowledge and experience to anticipate support needs and develop new procedures in anticipation of future requirements.
      • Stay current with upgrades and new releases of supported technology, developing new troubleshooting skills
      • As new technologies are introduced, quickly acquire sufficient knowledge and skills to provide a high level of support during conversion activities and after implementation.
      • Identify, recommend, design, and implement solutions that automate routine/repetitive IT processes, providing for an optimized and efficient infrastructure.


  • Educational/Experience Background


    • B.A./B.S. in related area

    • 7-10 years of experience


  • Technical Skills


    • Must have direct experience with Cisco switches and routers

    • Knowledge of cabling and wiring systems, design, and installation.

    • Knowledge of various network protocols including: TCP, UDP, ESP, IP.

    • Knowledge of various network routing protocols: EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP.

    • Familiar with network topologies such as MPLS, Metro Ethernet, DSL, etc.

    • Knowledge of WAN capacity management including SolarWinds and other management tools.

    • Firewall technologies; Next Generation Firewall (NGFW), Unified Threat Management (UTM): Cisco, Fortinet, Sonicwall, Palo Alto, Juniper, Checkpoint

    • F5 Load balancers and F5security suite
    • IPS/IDS technologies; Signature and pattern based intrusion detection and prevention systems: Cisco, Sourcefire, Fortinet, Tipping Point, Snort

    • Endpoint Protection Technologies; Anti-Malware software & Hard drive encryption: Symantec, Trend Micro, McAffee, Sophos, Sourcefire

    • Web Security Technologies; Proxy based and other inline web content filtering appliances: Bluecoat, Ironport, Fortinet, Websense, Barracuda

    • Email Security; Anti-SPAM and Email DLP technologies:  Ironport, Fortimail, McAffee, Barracuda

    • Identity Management Systems; Two factor, Radius, TACACS, and LDAP based authentication mechanisms: Cisco ACS, Microsoft NPS, RSA SecureID

    • NAC appliances and systems which leverage Dot1x for authentication and authorization to the network: Forescout, Cisco ISE, Bradford, Aruba ClearPass, Juniper

    • VPN Technologies; IPSEC client & tunnel, SSL Client and Clientless, Citrix/Terminal Services connectivity

    • Traffic Management Systems - Exinda, Bluecoat, Packeteer and Mach5, Riverbed, Silverpeak, Cisco WAAS

    • Proven ability to troubleshoot problems.

    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
