Job Summary:

Manage configuration, installation, documentation, maintenance and administration of hardware and software pertaining to Enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN, VoIP, Video, Security Hardware, WAN-OP, remote access and Firewalls. Recommend scheduled maintenance, 3rd party support service, repairs and provide support to site IT staff and end users. Supervise a team of skilled Network Engineers and be responsible for maintaining a stable networking environment for the Shared services agencies.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, design, install, maintain and troubleshoot WAN / LAN logical, physical and security architectures

  • Create and maintain processes and standard work

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, Disaster Recovery, and coordinate service for Routers, Switches, Firewalls, remote access and VoIP related hardware.

  • Provide support / troubleshoot LAN/WAN/WLAN, UCCX, Unity connection, VoIP, SIP, Access control Server, TACACS, AAA, WebEx, Jabber, Telepresence Video and security devices.

  • Responsible for Network hardware / software inventory control, maintaining leases, maintenance agreements and controlling cost where applicable.

  • Sarbanes Oxley Compliance

  • Keep up to date latest operating systems in critical hardware

  • Utilize and Maintain network device monitoring system

  • Maintain a Security and NIST culture

  • Maintain phone, WebEx, Voicemail, database and user add/changes

Leadership / Interpersonal Skills

  • Managing and evaluating the work of staff
  • Maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships with staff, clients, and external vendors
  • Establishing effective working relationships with management, employees, and business partners
  • Working with other IT departments, site managers and Site GM’s

Skills & Qualifications

Experience/Training/Education/Certification:

  • BA degree and 7 years, experience or MA and 5 years.   Industry Certification required.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills/Tools:

  • Must have advanced skills in troubleshooting, configuration, and installation of VMware, Cisco IOS, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Voicemail, Switching, Routing, IPSec, SSL, Voice & Video over IP, SIP SCCP and industry best practices.

  • Intimate knowledge of Cisco IOS, routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, Switching, VLAN, VTP Domains, 802.1q trunking, Cisco CDP, QoS, MPLS, SIP, PRI’s, T1’s, MGCP, H.323, POTs and ISDN.

  • Must be detail oriented, able to take direction, act as part of multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams, write supporting documentation and have excellent written and verbal skills.
