Network Engineer, Mid
Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, including e-mail, file transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing. Manage the Internet working of various operating systems, including Windows 2016 and one or more versions of UNIX across both LAN/WAN. Monitor the performance and stability of networks. Configure systems to user environments. Support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services, as needed. This role requires the ability to conduct shift work on a rotating model.
-5+ years of experience with network administration
-3+ years of experience with IT network design and deployment
-2+ years of experience with enterprise networks
-Experience with maintaining critical worldwide communications systems
-Experience with applying STIGs
-TS/SCI clearance required
-BA or BS degree
-IAT Level II Certification
-Cisco Certification, including CCNA or higher
-MCSA or MCSE Windows Server Certification
-MCSA or MCSE Windows Certification
