Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in the Herndon, Virginia.

A qualified candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Provide highly skilled technical assistance in network planning, engineering and architecture.
• Provide solutions for network problems.
• Responsible for conducting research of new technologies and implementation strategies
• Plans, supports and evaluates complex existing network systems and make recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels.
• Identifies and evaluates new products
• Automating tasks with Ansible
• Configure and maintain remote hosts
• Handle escalated user problems, questions, and request on network issues.
• Diagnose and provide solutions to network connectivity issues
• Configure and manage virtual network topology

Required Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in network management and development.
• Experience in firewall management including IP-tables rules.
• Network Administration Experience.
• System Administration Experience.
• Technical writing/documentation & presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Networking within virtualized environment preferred.
• Experience with Ansible or Terraform preferred.
• Experience with python 3 for automation and development preferred.
• Experience with Wireshark or tcpdump

Clearance Requirement:

• Minimum Interim Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI

Physical Requirements:

• Sedentary Work
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
• Repetitive Motions
