Position Summary:

This position is a Network Engineer responsible for managing and maintaining a large enterprise network. Responsible for troubleshootingnetwork related issues, developing configurations to fix issues, and implementing fixes to resolve network incidents.

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field (preferred)
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex network problems
  • Must be able to support implementation of configuration management processes and support the tracking and reporting of those changes
  • Must be knowledgeable and have the ability to diagram, document, configuration and install layer 2/3 networks in a predefined format
  • Experience using Splunk or other logging tool to analyze device logs and determine root cause of network incidents
  • Must be able to document changes and follow change management processes
  • Experience in a multi-vendor network environment
  • Ability to communicate status of network incidents with customers and government oversight

Vendor Certification (Must hold or be able to obtain within 90 days)

  • CCNA/CCNP
  • JNCIA
  • F5 CA/CTS/CSE

Security Certification Required

  • CISSP
  • Security+
  • CCNA Security

Other Certifications (Must be able to obtain in 90-120 days based on other certification requirements)

  • ITIL v3
