The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring effective daily operations of the IT environment through monitoring and maintaining all networks, systems and related infrastructure. The Network Engineer has a contributing role in the development and design of the Company’s IT infrastructure as we progress forward.
Install hardware, systems, and software for networks.
Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices.
Manages all system back-up and restore protocol.
Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.
Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
Monitors network system performance and implements performance tuning.
Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials
Oversee software and network security.
Adjust firewall rules as required to remedy network function.

3+ years of network administration mandatory
Demonstrable level of competence including:
A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking
A practical level of experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities
Troubleshooting focused on determining hardware vs. software, hardware vs. firmware, software vs. operating system, network vs. application/systems, and patterned vs. non-repeatable problems
Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux,
Networking experience with Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, Latency, VoIP, QoS
Cisco Routers and routing protocols OSPF, BGP and mutual route redistribution, HSRP, WAN media types T1, PRI, ISDN, ATM, PPP, MPLS
Cisco LAN Switches and switching protocols VTP, ISL, 802.1q, 802.3ad, STP, PVST, Rapid-PVST
Cisco ASA firewalls with ACLs, NAT, SSL and IPSec VPN tunnels
Palo Alto firewalls with ACLs, NAT, SSL and IPSec VPN tunnels
F5 Load Balancers and Application Firewalls with HA configurations
Understanding of disaster recovery implementations
A good understanding of information security concepts
Ability to lead technical discussions and projects in an organized manner
Ability to drive problem resolution to root cause
Ability to document strategies and designs and present to these ideas to management with cost/benefit analysis
Must be able to manage time effectively and to deliver on commitments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to operate well in a team environment and when under pressure
Ability to travel between all Integrated Solutions sites: California, Utah, Canada, North Carolina, Missouri, and Nevada
Certifications:, Current CCNA or CCNP strongly preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar preferred
