Looking for a Junior Network Engineer to provide management of and administrative support for our corporate networkinfrastructure. Primary responsibilities will consist of configuring, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, as well as, providing health assessment, capacity and performance metrics to IT management for networkinfrastructure.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Daily support of the local, wireless, and wide area network including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Implementation and support of the networksecurityinfrastructure including Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, content filters, and VPN services.
  • Participate in capacity planning and monitoring.
  • Hardware and software lifecycle management.
  • Proactive networkinfrastructuresupport during and after business hours.
  • Work withinternal product owners and third party vendors to resolve issues.
  • Participate in root cause analysis reviews.
  • 25-30% travel to other sites and data centers may be required; some international travel.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience with the technology areas outlined below:

  • Strong knowledge of routing and switch to include SDWAN, DMVPN, BGP, and OSPF routing protocols.
  • Experience in configuring and managing VPN, QoS, firewall policies, and VLANs.
  • Experience with VoIP services.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in configuring and troubleshooting multi-vendor routers, switches, firewall and wireless controllers; primarily Cisco.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IPnetworks, DNS, DHCP, and secure FTP.
  • Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS).
  • Experience and detailed technical knowledge in system and networksecurity, authentication and security protocols, and cryptography.
  • Experiencesupporting a complex DMZ environment.
  • Working knowledge of a range of network diagnostic utilities including analyzing netflow data.
  • Flexibility to perform some work outside of normal business hours and on weekends.
  • Expertise in using Visio to produce detailed network documentation.

MUST HAVES:

  • Cisco Certified NetworkAssociate (CCNA) at a minimum
  • 2+ years operational experience with networkinfrastructure
  • B.S. or B.A. in a technical discipline is preferred
  • 2+ years current hands-on experience with networksecuritytechnology,
  • 2+ years current experience in configuring and supporting of enterprise WANtechnologies
  • Knowledge of Azure, Cloud Services, Firewalls & maintenance - Palo Alto, firewall rules and configurations
  • Scriptingexperience is a plus
  • Linux administration experience is a big plus
  • VMWare experience is a plus
