Job description:
Design and setup test beds and test automation infrastructure to exercise and test access networks based on customer and test plans
• Build new automation framework to allow software engineer sand test engineers to create test cases, write test scripts and execute tests
• Understanding of product requirement documents (PRD), engineering, requirement specifications (ERS), customer lab, production scenarios and creating new feature test cases in a test management system
• Troubleshoot issues discovered in customer labs, logging defects in the defect tracking system and assisting internal teams in debugging issues reported by the customers
• Ensure all test activities meet customer defined processes and deadlines

Basic understanding of LAN/WAN architectures, Wi-Fi standards, xDSL and VoIP protocols
• Strong scripting proficiency in Linus or Unix based shell environment
• Solid understanding of networking n Linux and test tools
• Basic experience working with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, VLAN, ATM, PPP, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, Switching, QOS, Multicast, IGMP v2/3 and firewalls
• Familiarity with one or more test tools like Spirent Test Center, SMB 2000/6000, IXIA products and packet analyzers (Wireshark/Ethereal)
• Experience working with industry standard routers and switches

Other Experience (A Plus):
Perl scripting & working experience in DSL environment
