The role…

Network Engineer 1 is responsible for the day to day support of the network infrastructure and for providing support to internal and external customers for any networking requests.    Performs a variety of administrative and maintenance tasks to ensure performance levels meet business requirements and user satisfaction.   Administration tasks include but are not limited to firewalls, load balancers, DNS, User Web Proxies, and AWS security groups.  Maintains network monitoring and archiving systems, has shared responsibility with other team members to maintain security of network devices per audit requirements.

What you will do…

  • Network Support & Troubleshooting: Standard administration requests- firewalls, AWS Security Groups, load balancers, DNS & application network support.   Troubleshoots network outages and performance issues.  Understands the interaction between applications and network to assist in the troubleshooting of application system
  • Network Monitoring & Maintenance:  Works with other teams to ensure network monitoring and alerting is functional and relevant.    Performs a variety of maintenance and audits of network systems.
  • Collaborates with other teams: Works closely with other infrastructure teams, service management teams, applications teams as well as Information Security.

Skills you have…

Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in a related field, or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of educations and  experience
  • Information Technology support experience
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP stack and protocols


  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Skills in Cisco IOS / Routing and Switching preferred
