The Senior Network Core Analyst designs, manages, maintains and upgrades the wireless and wired data networks at BayCare's data center and all other facilities. Ensures all designs are developed with secure architectures and methodologies utilizing security best practices.

The Analyst addresses all connectivity issues at the data center and provides assistance to Network Field Analysts in resolving challenging technical issues; keeps IS management updated on any issues and active projects; and provides support at other facilities when requested by management.

The Analyst provides third level support for routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, security appliances/services, and wireless networks and provides in depth analysis of packet traces and network equipment statistics to troubleshoot issues.

The Analyst follows all department standards when deploying or upgrading connectivity services and represents the network team in a positive manner to local health care, IT and administrative teams.

Must have in depth knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, 802.11, layer 2 switching, DHCP, DNS, network security, and troubleshooting skills. Performs other duties as assigned. On call duty is required.


Requires 4 years of network engineering experience working in IT operations and 2 years of production support for one or more of the major firewall platforms;
8 years of network engineering experience in lieu of Bachelor?s degree and 2 years of production support for one or more of the major firewall platforms.
Experience should include the ability to secure network services and knowledge of secure modular network design and risk assessment.

Experience preferred in ForeScout CounterACT NAC product.
