Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for networkarchitecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as LAN, WAN, MPLS, WLAN, routers, multiplexers, switches, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Provide advanced knowledge of architectural, design, and technical leadership for networkinfrastructure support for applications, servers, storage, 802.11 wireless, local area network 10/100/1000 Meg Ethernet, Virtual Private Networks, MPLS, ATM, frame relay, FDDI, SNA, Toke Ring, Apple Talk, Network Time Services, DHCP, NAMS, services for Spirit. Candidate needs to have advance knowledge of CISCO, Aruba, Riverbed, ClearPass, AirWave, Voice over IP, Video over IP, and ISDN.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert with regards to architectural, design, technical, processes, and service issues representing network to all Spirit internally and externally group. Candidate must have a proven history of the ability to lead and direct others in the defining networkarchitecture, network systems requirements, and network systems implementations with all internal and external teams to help ensure secure, timely, cost effective, and successful deployments of network devices and solutions.
Skills & Experience
BS degree in Computer Science or related field and typically 12years experience in computing or a master's degree and 10 years experience.
