Responsible for the management, administration and security of server, storage and core-infrastructure applications via Community Medical Centers cloud-hosted and on premise data centers. Provides assistance in problem identification and diagnosis, takes necessary action to resolve problems, as expeditiously as possible. Ensures that data is secure and responsive and that users and applications have 24/7 access. Establishes network server and storage specifications for Community Medical Centers in accordance with industry best practices. Maintains server, storage and application system performance utilizing alerts, reports and metrics. Secures network server and storage infrastructure by implementing access controls, encryption, threat detection solutions and system level monitoring. Performs routine and emergency maintenance on data center equipment, repairing and/or replacing failed system components ensure service availability. Accountable for all server and storage infrastructure services which include those activities associated with the project design, engineering, expansion and technical support of Windows, Unix and Linux-based physical and virtual system configurations, storage arrays and core application services. Upgrades and maintains hardware and software throughout the established lifecycle to include end-of-life management. Provides financial input upon request. Develops and maintains a library of processes, procedures and configuration documentation for all information technology services. Manages backup and restoration practices in accordance with business and clinical system retention requirements. Maintains core-network application infrastructure including but not limited to: Windows, Unix, Linux Operating Systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Citrix, Netscaler, Microsoft Exchange email, and calendaring, Performs other duties as assigned.
Five years of strong technical / analytical experience and two years’ experience in a network engineering/server administration capacity at an enterprise level
A strong background in Active Directory, Windows Server, UNIX, Linux, Data Communications, and Networking is essential
Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in Computer Science
Computer Engineering, or Information Systems
Work experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting
PREFERRED: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Network+, Security+, Citrix Certified Associate/Professional, Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator
