Brief Description

LinQuest is seeking a NC3 System Engineer to work in our Odenton, MD office. You will be a member of the technical staff involved with assessing Nuclear Command, Control and Communications architectures, capabilities and gaps.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct studies on the Nuclear Command & Control capabilities
  • Develop DoD architecture material for future architectures
  • Develop NC3 roadmaps
  • Develop models for assessment of system improvements
  • Interface with key DoD NC3 organizations on technical aspects


Requirements

  • Experience with nuclear C3 missions, systems, and operational procedures currently used with the strategic nuclear capable forces in support of presidential and joint staff nuclear communications
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare nuclear C3 analysis, documentation, and reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and other graphical tools
  • Experience with DoD system engineering tools and acquisition processes

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of DoDAF tools (i.e. Sparx EA, MagicDraw) and Model Based Systems Engineering principles
  • Understanding of fundamental NC3 principles and techniques

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline
  • Five to ten years' experience working NC3 programs or operations
  • Working knowledge and experience with DoD systems engineering processes and procedures
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI required to be considered for the position

Preferred Experience:

  • Understanding of and experience with operations and technical characteristics of nuclear C3 systems to include strategic communications systems, sensor and radar systems, and communication systems deployed at nuclear command centers and on nuclear capable platforms
