A Day in the Life
As the Navigation Tech Lead, you will be a R&D leader of innovation developing navigation technologies to augment Medtronic's Robotic Surgery Platform for improved surgery.
As the tech lead of navigation R&D projects, you will lead a cross-functional team with members from Centers of Excellence (Systems, HW, SW), other teams and both internal and external experts. You will leverage your technical expertise on navigation technologies, and your management skills to influence cross-functional project teams for delivery of excellent results. You are expected to be able to identify promising navigation technologies, reduce key technical risks, and guide the development from research prototype to commercialization.
If needed, you will represent R&D function, as the R&D core team member, to work with the core team consisting of Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Program management and Operation to make critical decision regarding projects execution and future product roadmap.
Must Have
Preferred Technical Experience:
identification, object tracking, registration, sensor fusion, SLAM (bonus: in a surgical field with soft tissue)
