Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: - Establishing and developing strategic long-term relationships with current clients, new clients and prospective teaming partners to deliver private or public sector projects
- Providing technical guidance to clients and internal project teams
- Project Management ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget
- Lead projects with key regulatory agencies:
- USACE Section 404 (wetlands), Section 408 (civil works), Section 7 (T&E species);
- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) - Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, etc
- LDNR OCM - Louisiana Coastal Zone Permitting
- State Historic Preservation Offices
- Coastal Protection and Regulatory Authority
What you will bring to the team: - Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Studies, Natural Resources, Water Resources, Soil Science, Environmental Science, Civil or Environmental Biology, Ecology or related field
- A minimum of 15 years of professional environmental experience (i.e., stream, wetland, and environmental surveys, sampling, permitting, etc.)
- Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT) through the Society of Wetland Scientists preferred
- Familiarity with local, state and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Able and willing to travel as needed
